Mileage94,058Service Date2/26/2026Services Performed- FOUND: We scanned the vehicle and found diagnostic trouble code P0016 indicating a crankshaft/camshaft correlation issue. An oil change was performed, the codes were cleared, and the vehicle was test driven. After the test drive, the Check Engine Light returned and the same code was found again. To further diagnose the concern, the VVT solenoids were swapped from the left side to the right side. The fault code did not follow the solenoids, indicating the solenoids are not the cause of the issue. Based on these findings, we recommend performing a full timing chain kit replacement due to a likely internal timing correlation problem.

We recommend replacing the rack and pinion assembly. For this repair, we recommend using the dealer OEM rack and pinion to ensure proper programming and system communication.
