Finding: Performed a smoke test of the intake system and found a loose hose that was allowing unmetered air into the engine, which can contribute to a lean condition. The hose was properly reconnected; however, the lean-related fault code remained present. The technician then recommended performing a throttle body cleaning and calibration. After completing the throttle body service and calibration, the fault code was cleared and the vehicle was retested. The code did not return during testing, indicating the repair was successful at this time. Recommendation: After the repair, we have checked the system to verify the fault code has not returned and confirmed the vehicle is operating properly.
