- FOUND: Performed A/C system inspection and found the refrigerant charge was low at 0.77 lbs. The system specification is 1.56 lbs. Further diagnosis revealed a blown A/C fuse and faulty A/C relay, preventing the A/C compressor from operating. RECOMMENDATION: Repair the electrical circuit causing the fuse failure, replace the affected fuse and relay as needed, and recover, evacuate, and recharge the A/C system with the correct amount of refrigerant. Due to the system being low on refrigerant, A/C dye should be added during the recharge process to help monitor for and identify any refrigerant leaks. After the repair, we have to check the system to verify proper A/C operation and inspect for signs of refrigerant leakage.
